Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to 5th grade! I am looking forward to a year of exciting and challenging experiences to make for a successful year of learning.
In order for students to do their best, we need to work together, establishing two-way communication so that you are well aware of all successes, areas of concern, and other news and events from the classroom teachers and the main office.
Please check your child's agenda every evening to see if they have completed the assigned work and sign it to let us know that you have seen it. Also check this website for reminders and news from the school and classroom. This will help to keep your child on task. If your child is absent, please let me and the main office know the reason as soon as possible. Your child may check the class website for their homework, or call a classmate to find out what they missed.
When a major test is given, it is sent home, in order for you to monitor your child's progress. Please sign the test and return it promptly. This lets us know that you have seen the test, and have discussed the results with your child.
Please check your child's supplies periodically. There will be a supply check each marking period. Many of you have already bought all supplies, so thank you. Also remember that the classroom always welcomes donations of kleenex, copy paper, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer throughout the school year!
Please contact me anytime you have concerns or celebrations that I should be aware of so that we can work together to help your child be successful this year.
I look forward to a productive and enjoyable year!
Sincerely,
Ms. Sharp
