Reminder that Monday is Presidents' Day, so there is NO SCHOOL! Also, starting next week Budlong will be taking a new assessment to monitor our progress this school year. 304 will begin with reading on Tuesday and will do math on Thursday. Make sure you get plenty of rest and come to school prepared to do your best!
We are taking the Middle of the Year Math MAP Test tomorrow morning, so remember to go to bed early and get to school on time! Just try your best!
Tomorrow is Sports Team Day, so bring a dollar and show your pride for your favorite sports team!
Congratulations to everyone honored today at the Honor Roll Assembly! We are so proud of all your hard work!
Tomorrow is Pajama Day, so bring $1 and wear your pajamas to school! Tomorrow is the second day of Spirit Week - Crazy Pants Day! For $1, you can wear jeans or crazy pants, as long as they are school appropriate! Please do not come to school in ripped pants. Pants should cover your entire leg!
In backpack mail tonight you will find a permission slip for the Chicago Wolves Hockey Game Field Trip. The cost is $13 per student, and does not include lunch. You can bring money to buy food there, or bring a sack lunch. If $13 is too much for your family to afford, let me know and we will see if there is scholarship money available. Next week is Spirit Week! By bringing in $1 each day, you can participate in Spirit Week by wearing fun stuff to school. Monday is Crazy Hat Day, so bring a dollar and your favorite hat to wear! It is important that students are in school every single day, but especially next week. Every day that students come to school on time, they will earn a raffle ticket that will be placed in a jar for their grade. Winners will be drawn on Friday at the Attendance Assembly. Tuesday is the Honor Roll Assembly. If your student was on High Honor Roll (All A's) or Honor Roll (All A's and B's), they received an invitation today for their parents to come to school on Tuesday at 9:50 to see their child honored.
Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm in these freezing temperatures! A couple reminders for the week: There are no after school programs this week and school will not be in session on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Over the break, students should still be doing their Khan Academy entries and Reader Response journals. I hope everyone has a relaxing holiday filled with family fun!
Tomorrow is Report Card Pick-Up Day. Please stop by the school to meet the teachers and discuss your student's progress this year! All students are encouraged to attend as well! Here is the schedule so far. If you haven't scheduled an appointment, please email me tonight or tomorrow morning to reserve your spot. If you do not reserve a spot, I can not guarantee that I will be able to meet with you.

The films all centered around the topic of empathy and celebrating differences, something we have been focusing on a lot this year. Thank you to all the parents that allowed their students to be a part of this field trip and that volunteered to chaperone! If you didn't get to go this time, I hope I can count on you for the next trip!
A reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held from 10 am - 4 pm on Wednesday, November 9th. Many of you already sent back the appointment preference sheet and I have given you one of your three choices. If you have not selected a time yet, please do so tonight. It is important that I meet with all parents to let you know how your student is doing and how we can continue to work together throughout the rest of the school year. If you aren't able to make it to conferences on Wednesday, I am available other days to meet. Please keep in mind that if you do not sign up for a time slot, you will have to wait for an opening in the schedule and I will not be able to guarantee that I will be able to meet with you. Please see the appointment list below to find out what times are still available. I look forward to seeing all of you on Wednesday! A couple other reminders: Tomorrow we will hear a presentation on oral health, so don't forget to ask you students what they learned! Wednesday is the final day for collecting donations for the Hot Chocolate Jog-a-thon. Students can bring the donations directly to the 3rd floor gym first thing in the morning. Tomorrow is School Spirit Day, so make sure you wear a shirt to support your favorite elementary, high school, or university! 10:00 Trinity 10:10 10:20 10:30 10:40 10:50 11:00 Oscar 11:10 11:20 Ali 11:30 Lilah 11:40 Asiya 11:50 12:00 Denis 12:10 12:20 12:30 Mirza 12:40 Sandra 12:50 1:00 Berny 1:10 1:20 Elieyes 1: 30 Nikko 1:40 1:50 2:00 Andrew 2:10 2:20 2:30 2:40 2:50 3:00 3:10 3:20 3:30 Danny 3:40 Stephanie 3:50 Trisha |
